In Venezuela, snacks for sharing are called 'pasapalos'. Empanadas, crispy corn-flour half-moons with a warm filling, and tequeños, fried wheat dough wrapped around melted cheese, are the classics. Perfect for those first bites with a beer or cocktail, around a shared table.
